Agribusiness Lobbying Services involves a mix of curated guided models towards improving the skills and practical knowledge on effective advocacy and lobbying strategies in the agribusiness sector. The timetable is based on the agreement between set of activities and roles.
Program Value:
- Comprehensive coverage of agribusiness lobbying value chains: public policies lobbying (e.g., influencing government regulations on subsidies, land use, and environmental standards), corporate lobbying for partnerships (e.g., forging alliances with private sector players for supply chain collaborations, joint ventures, and market access), and international lobbying (e.g., navigating regional frameworks like EAC, SADC, AfCFTA, and bilateral ties with UAE for trade agreements, export incentives, and cross-border investments).
- Practical modules with real-life case studies (e.g., lobbying for policy changes in seed regulations, securing corporate partnerships for agro-processing hubs, or advocating for tariff reductions under AfCFTA to boost exports), networking opportunities with policymakers, industry associations, multinational corporations, and international trade bodies, plus connections to legal advisors, diplomats, and funding institutions.
- Flexible online and in-person sessions to build entrepreneurial and advocacy skills for shaping favorable policies, forming strategic partnerships, expanding international market access, increased profitability and sustainable growth in the agribusiness sector.
